3 Years!!

Today is our wedding anniversary and I am the luckiest girl in the world to be married to such an amazing husband. He is truly my better half and I thank my lucky stars ever day that we found each other. There are so many things I love about Ryan, he has an amazing smile and always makes me laugh, he never leaves for work without kissing me goodbye, he is extremely patient even when I am being completely irrational (which is more times than I care to admit), he makes me feel so loved, respected and beautiful, he is pretty damn sexy, he is my rock and is always there when I need him and somehow always knows what to say to make me feel better, he is competitive and I love when I beat him at something because he gets so mad (there aren't too many things I can beat him at), and he is the best father to our son I could ever hope for and one day Riley is going to realize how lucky he is to have you as a dad.
Ryan, thanks for being you and loving me, in my dream of dreams I never imagined I would find someone that makes me as happy as you do. I love you and happy anniversary!

Catch up...

Ok, so I have been a little lazy about posting to the blog the past week or two so I am playing catch up so I apologize for the overload of pictures. For those of you that lost track, Riley is 12 weeks tomorrow!

Riley and I met Jessica, Beth and Darci, some of my friends from college for lunch at Tacos Guamos. Beth came all the way from Boston and Darci came from Anchorage for Jessica's wedding. It was so great to see everyone, especially since I hadn't seen Darci since I graduated over 3 years ago!

Here are some pictures from Jessica's wedding, she looked absolutely gorgeous and it was so fun to catch up with old friends! It is truly amazing how much everyone has grown up in the last 3 years.

Riley "talking"

So lately Riley has been talking a ton, it's really funny because I think he actually thinks he is having a conversation with us. We say something and then he responds, it's pretty adorable! Sorry the video is sideways, I couldn't figure out how to turn it.

2 Months Old!!

Riley turned 2 months old last Monday and had his 2 month checkup on Thursday. Here were his stats:

Length: 23 inches (50th percentile)

Weight: 13.5 pounds (83rd percentile)

So in other words, he is a little on the tubby side! While at the doctors he had several vaccines and did not feel very well for the rest of the day and was pretty cranky. Luckily that only lasted one day and he was back to his normal happy self within no time.
Look how curly my hair is!

Congratulations Lexie!

Just wanted to say congrats to my cousin Lexie, her boyfriend asked her to marry him over the weekend and I just wanted to say how happy I am for the both of them!!

Happy 4th of July Weekend!

So we have had a great relaxing weekend so far. On Thursday night we had some friends (Justin and Bre) over for a fun evening of Wii bowling and Catch Phrase. It got pretty intense since we played boys against girls and Bre hates losing as much as I do, but unfortunately the boys took home the Catch Phrase trophy. I am looking forward to a rematch!

Friday afternoon Ryan and I went to Circuit City and bought my first digital slr camera, I am still learning how to use it but can't wait to shoot some great shots of Riley. Even Ryan has enjoyed playing around with it. I will post some pictures once I figure out how to work it, there are a million dials and I am trying to figure out what everything does still.

On Friday night we went over to Ryan's dad's house to watch the fireworks and enjoyed a fabulous meal as always (Melinda's a chef). We feasted on sausage dogs, coleslaw, potato salad and of course strawberry and blueberry shortcake, a fourth of July must!

The best news of the weekend is that Riley is finally starting to sleep good, for the past two nights he has slept 6 hours in a row and I have woke up completely refreshed. It's amazing what stringing 6 hours in a row can do for you!

I have posted a few pictures from my cousin Stephanie's wedding which was last weekend in Tri-Cities. It was Riley's third wedding in a row, but he has been great at all of them and loved all the attention he received, especially from my cousins that live in Denver. It was so great to see them since I only get to about once a year, they are growing up so fast!
