My new lens

Ryan came home yesterday with a new lens for my camera (I have the most thoughtful husband) so I thought I would give it a try.

Riley got a haircut and they cut a TON off! I was a little shocked when she was finished (he was sitting on my lap so it was hard to tell how much she was cutting) especially since I told her I just wanted it trimmed, but of course he is still adorable! He definitely takes after his daddy and is not lacking in the hair department, I wish I would have taken a picture of all the hair that was on the floor after she was finished, you would never know it belonged to a 3 1/2 month old!

Our other children

A few pics of our other children playing frisbee. Since Riley came into our lives, the dogs have been put on the back burner as far as taking pictures of them. It's hard to believe Tucker is almost 5 years old (September 1), he still has hops!

Rolling, rolling, rolling...

Riley rolled over for the first time on Friday and I actually caught it on camera. He didn't quite get his arm completely under him but I still think it counts. He has been rolling over onto his side for the last few days and finally went all the way. Since he rolled over, he is now constantly moving and we can barely get him to sit still!

3 Months Old!!

Riley turned 3 months old on the 7th, I can't believe how much he has changed in the last month. Here are a few things we know about him so far: he is constantly talking and smiling and responds to our voice, loves blowing bubbles, loves playing airplane with his daddy, is starting to reach for his toys, loves taking baths and splashing in the water, hates tummy time, likes eating his whole hand, is getting better at going to bed (the last few nights he has gone to sleep without crying), he loves his Binky, is so close to rolling over, and he keeps getting cuter and cuter every day. He is such a happy baby and we feel so blessed to have him in our lives.

Photo Shoot

So I set up some sheets and attempted to do a "photo shoot" of Riley. I definitely need to practice but here are a few shots I thought were cute. He is challenging to take pictures of because he is constantly squirming but it was fun and tired him out since in the middle of taking pictures he fell asleep. I got some pretty cute shots of him sleeping though, he looks so peaceful.

More Pics

Here are a few more random pictures from the week. We had a pretty uneventful weekend although some pretty exciting news (at least for us) is that Riley slept completely through the night for the first time from 8:00 pm until 7:00 am. He has been consistently sleeping about 8 hours straight and wakes up at 4:00 am and then goes back to sleep until 7 which is pretty good but on Friday he made it completely through until morning, needless to say we were pretty stoked. I did wake up out of habit at 4 and waited for him to wake up, when he didn't I got a little panicked and went and checked on him but he was sound asleep. Hopefully this will continue and wasn't just a one time fluke!

Here he is playing with his daddy, we discovered he loves when Ryan holds him over his head like he is flying. He gets a huge smile on his face every time, it's adorable and melts my heart. I love to watch the two of them play together.

Here is a video of Riley using his jumper for the first time, he seemed to enjoy it, though he looks a little confused. Sorry for the poor image quality, we really need to get a video camera and I keep forgetting that you can't rotate the video later so it's sideways again.
