Fun at Grandma and Grandpa's House

Grandma and Grandpa invited us over for dinner so they could play with Riley tonight. He had beef for the first time (mashed up pot roast), potatoes and fresh broccoli, he is getting to be such a big boy!

Safety First!!
Christmas came early... Grandma loves to spoil him!

Riley also got to spend both Friday and Saturday night with Grandma and Grandpa Brown. They came into town this weekend just so they could babysit!! Riley has the greatest Grandparents!!

It's just hair...

I can dye it back. I colored my hair dark for the first time a couple of weeks ago and thought I would finally post a picture of me since I'm usually behind the camera. I definitely like it better blonde but it has been a fun change.

Happy Thanksgiving

I am thankful for so many things...a loving husband who makes me laugh, a happy, healthy, beautiful baby boy who always makes me smile and keeps life interesting, our new home, two loyal loving dogs who are also loving their new home and their gigantic backyard. Also thankful for the wonderful dinner we had on Thanksgiving with my family, and that Riley got to spend a little time with his great grandma and grandpa. I am also thankful that we were still able to keep the family tradition of going to see a movie after dinner (this would not have been possible if we didn't have such a good baby). He slept through most of his first movie at the theatre and only woke up for the last 10 minutes or so...

Hope each of you had an equally happy holiday!

Go Cougs!!

This weekend, the Burdo's minus little Burdo and the Landon's went to what Ryan calls the Toilet Bowl 2K8 (AKA Apple Cup). Papa Watts was extremely generous and gave us tickets and an RV for the weekend that he purchased at a charity auction. It was the first time we have been away from Riley over night which was extremely strange for me, I kept getting the feeling that we had accidently left him somewhere and I had to fight the urge not to call and check on him every couple of hours. We left him with Grandma and Grandpa Brown for the weekend and he had a great time, all smiles when we picked him up this afternoon.

It was a bitter battle for the bottom spot in the Pac 10. While our odds didn't look very good for the majority of the game, the last 20 seconds of regulation play made the game very interesting. I'm sure everyone knows that the Cougs pulled out a double overtime victory beating the worst team in the history of the Pac 10 conference.

It had been a long time since we have spent a night in Pullman so we had to make sure we squeezed in a couple of our favorite Pullman pastimes. We had beers at the Coug with a couple of my sorority sisters and grabbed fajitas and margaritas at Casa de Lopez in Moscow.
Our first RV trip was awesome but it is definitely not a hotel. Remember to bring towels, a can opener and a bottle opener because there is no front desk. It was a great weekend, but we couldn't wait to get home to see Riley and take a shower.
I was awful and only took 2 pictures the entire weekend, here we are at the Coug.
My dad purchased a couple of new toys, 2 Polaris Ranger RZR S' (aka Razors). They are basically a two person four wheeler. Ryan, my brother and dad all took them out to the dunes outside of Pasco last weekend to test them out. Apparently they will go over 50 mph on sand and get 2 or 3 feet of air no problem. I went for a little ride with Ryan when they got back and realized I do not like to be the passenger, I actually hate being the passenger. I think I will stick with a regular four wheeler where I am in complete control. We also went for a hike up one of the "mountains" in Tr-Cities. Not much of a mountain but still pretty good exercise. I know it doesn't look like Riley is enjoying it in the pictures but really he was smiling the whole time he wasn't sleeping, I just happened to take most of these pictures when he just woke up. I didn't get any pictures of them but I thought I would mention that my mom and dad were on the hike with us as well. It was nice to get out and get some fresh air and a little exercise.

He's on the move...

So for the last couple of weeks Riley has been "crawling" like crazy, it's more of an army crawl but I am still so proud! I have been trying to get it on video for a while but the kid takes after his mom and is stubborn, everytime I pull my camera out he doesn't want to crawl any more.
