Play Time

Last weekend was absolutely gorgeous and felt more like early spring then February. We enjoyed the sunshine by spending the morning at the park and then going for a short hike in the afternoon.

Family Time

These are from about a month ago but were too cute not to share. We went and visited the family for the weekend and got to spend a little time with Riley's great grandparents as well. I showed these pictures to Riley a couple of days ago and he was able to pick everyone out by name (or at least his name for them) without any help "Poppy, Nona, Papa, Minnie and Daddy."

You amaze me everyday with how smart you are and how quickly you learn new things. You can repeat pretty much everything we say now so mommy and daddy are having to be extra careful now. This month your vocabulary has improved so much and I'm continually amazed at words you know that we didn't even teach you. Some new words you know are "airplane, elmo, window, juice, apple, nanna (for banana), ball, moon, balloon (sounds more like boon), movie (moovey) truck, shoe. Today you went in the closet and pointed and said "mommy shoe and daddy shoe," Daddy was so proud.

We went to dinner tonight to celebrate Erica and Bobby finding out you will have a new baby boy cousin and you saw grandpa's truck in the parking lot and pointed and said "Papa." That really amazed me!

I am so proud to be your mommy. I love you monky!

Lexie

Meet my beautiful cousin Lexie. She is pregnant with TWIN girs, Morgan and Sydney. Lexie and her husband have had to endure a lot to become parents and I couldn't be happier or more excited that they are about to welcome their girls into the world. They are going to make AMAZING parents, love you both!

Poopy

I just had to brag that Riley went poop in his potty today! After breakfast I was getting ready to change him and he said "poop, poopy, poopy." I checked his diaper and he wasn't poopy but then he pointed at his potty we bought him a couple of weeks ago and said "potty." I sat him on the potty and he went right away! I was sooo excited, is it normal to get excited about poop??

He then proceeded to pee on the carpet... but hey he pooped in his toilet!

Major Catching Up

I have been major MIA lately... between moving into our new house, getting everything repaired, hosting our company christmas party, preparing for hosting family dinner on Christmas Eve, Mike and Melinda visiting, and going back to work full time, it has been one crazy month!
