3 Weeks Tomorrow!

We have had a very busy week in the Tri-Cities visiting family and enjoying the sunshine. Ryan and my dad went golfing several times, we all went to dinner every night (Riley did amazing and slept the entire time), my mom and I went shopping for new clothes since my maternity clothes no longer fit and I can't yet fit into my old clothes, and just enjoyed spending time with Riley. Ryan also drove his car in an auto cross which he had been wanting to try for quite some time and decided it wasn't quite as cool as he thought it would be. It was a lot of work and standing around (they make you run cones when you aren't racing) for only 40 seconds of actual race time, but he was still glad he tried it.

The dogs also had a good week and were spoiled by Grandpa Watts (Loren). He took them to his shop every day and let them ride around in the back of his truck, they were in heaven! He also took them swimming in a nearby pond and they kept sneaking in the pool when we weren't looking. All in all it was a great week for everyone!

On a side note, last week at Riley's 2 week doctor appointment, he had gained 15 ounces in 1 week and grew an entire inch in 2 weeks! He is in the 75th percentile for both his height and weight but only the 46th percentile for his head, I guess he didn't inherit the Watts head!

Two Weeks Old!

Riley is now two weeks old today! We have had a really busy past week and have been visiting Grandma and Grandpa Watts in the Tri-Cities. He has been great during the day but has been a little stubborn at night and not wanted to go to bed. Ryan and I are feeling a little sleepy but it has been great having Grandma and Grandpa help out. Will post more pictures once we are back home on Thursday.

One Week Old!

Riley is already one week old, and we can't believe how quickly this week has gone by! He is developing more and more facial expressions (besides just his hungry face) every day and Ryan and I swear we saw him smile a couple of times.

Today was another busy day, we had his follow up doctors appointment today to ensure he had started gaining weight again and in 2 days he went from 8 pounds to 8 pounds 13 ounces!! He is now over his birth weight which made the doctor very pleased (and amazed). I was not surprised considering how much he eats...

We also stopped by Ryan's work today to show off Riley to some of his co-workers, he is such a proud daddy!

We ended the day by taking the entire family on our first walk together (Tucker and Layla included). Riley loved his new stroller and the dogs were happy to get out of the house considering they haven't had a whole lot of attention from us lately.

Day 6

Riley is now 6 days old and I am starting to feel much better. I even left the house yesterday to go to Riley's first doctor's appointment which went really well. He is so well behaved! He has lost a bit of weight since his birth weight so the doctor wants us to come in again to make sure he starts to gain weight. He is eating all the time so I have no doubt at the next appointment he will be back up to his birth weight.

We have received so many nice cards and flowers from all our friends and family and really appreciate all the love and support. If you haven't come by to visit and meet little Riley, you should stop by soon!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is my first Mother's Day and it's been a really busy day. In the morning Uncle Bryan and Jesse stopped by to meet Riley and then later Sarah stopped by and hung out for a while.

Ryan and I are finally starting to get into a routine and feel like we are getting a lot more sleep. We are trying to do the "sleep when he sleeps," it seems to be working for Daddy, see picture below. Riley seems to be getting into a routine as well and has been better about going to sleep at night.
