Best Hubby Ever!!

I am the luckiest wife in the whole world... Last night, Ryan said he was going to Federal Way to help his Uncle fix something with his car. I thought nothing of it and decided to stay home since I didn't know how long it would take to fix and didn't want to be stranded there with Riley. When he came home he was telling me about what was wrong with the car, something about a bad fuse and had this whole story about how he is hoping it was nothing electrical and what not. Somehow, the topic of Ryan's mom came up and that she wanted to baby sit Riley sometime and I casually mentioned that I wanted to see Phantom of the Opera and she could babysit then. He said we could probably go see Phantom with these and pulled 2 tickets out of his pocket!! And not just 2 tickets, but 2 tickets in the 11th row front and center!! He came up with the elaborate story about fixing his Uncle's car just so he could go pickup tickets he bought off of Craigslist since tickets this good are no longer available. He was going to keep it a surprise but being him, he had to tell me as soon as he got home. He is the worst at keeping secrets!!

I have wanted to see Phantom for as long as I can remember. I even told Ryan a couple of years ago that if I hadn't seen it by the time I turn 40 that I wanted to fly to New York and see it for my 40th birthday. Luckily, I don't have to wait that long, I can't wait until October 3!!

Family filled week

We went to Tri-Cities last weekend for my mom's birthday and for my cousin Lexie's engagement party. I was terrible while in Tri-Cities and only took one picture...
Riley and Uncle Dan trying to decide what to have for dinner

Loving the baby legs
Mike and Melinda had us over for dinner last Sunday night. As always, dinner was delicious and the company even better.

Riley's great grandparents stopped by to see us this week as well.

Picnic Time

We took advantage of the good weather since it probably won't be around much longer and enjoyed a nice picnic on the beach down at Golden Gardens Park.

4 month stats

I just got back from the doctors and am happy to report it went much smoother then the first set of shots 2 months ago. Last time Riley cried for almost 30 minutes and I could not do anything to console him and then he continued to be extremely grumpy for the rest of the day which is so out of character for him. This time, he cried for about 30 seconds and then let me feed him which made him happy again and now he is zonked out. Hopefully when he wakes up he will still be his happy self instead of the devil child he was last time!

Here are his stats from his 4 month checkup:

Height: 26.25 inches (89%)

Weight: 15 pounds 11 oz (65%)

Last time he was on the shorter, fatter side of the percentages so I am pleased to see that he is starting to grow up instead of out!

4 Months Old!!

Riley turned 4 months old yesterday, I look at him now and he doesn't even look like a baby to me anymore, he looks like a little man. He is growing up and changing so fast and keeps getting cuter and cuter. We have his 4 month appointment on Wednesday which means more shots (not fun) hopefully they go better then the first set did. I am so excited to see how much he weighs and how many inches he has grown, he is like a completely different baby then the last time I took him to the doctor. He has so much personality, he smiles all the time, he is interested in everything around him, loves looking at his hands and feet, he is trying to sit up on his own now, rolls constantly, is teething, is such a little flirt, still loves blowing bubbles and imitating noises his daddy makes, and makes me smile constantly...I love him so much!

Our gym has a daycare and takes babies once they are 4 months old so I went to the gym for the first time today since having Riley. I was so nervous about leaving him with the daycare, this was the first time I have left him with someone I didn't know which was really scary. I seriously checked on him every 5 minutes, the daycare lady must have thought I was crazy! She didn't even see me check on him half of the time because I was trying to be stealth like and not let her see me. But all my checking made me feel a little better about leaving him, he looked like he was having a great time. Needless to say it wasn't the best workout I have ever had but it is a start and there is always tomorrow.

A lot of firsts...

First time at the ocean...

We drove up to Ocean Shores to meet the Landon's for the first annual "Landon Luau." The dogs had a blast playing in the ocean and it was great to see everyone.

First time flying...

We flew down to Arizona for the Labor Day weekend with Grandma and Grandpa and Uncle Cameron and Aunt April. Riley didn't seem to mind flying at all (his ears hurt a little bit when we were landing), he even helped Grandpa fly the plane!

First time swimming...

He seemed to really like swimming and was kicking like crazy in the water. He really loved the hot weather and sprawled out and took a long nap.

My new lens

Ryan came home yesterday with a new lens for my camera (I have the most thoughtful husband) so I thought I would give it a try.
