So, I am happy to announce my brother got married on Saturday. The wedding was absolutely beautiful but rather interesting...
Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate and started pouring and lightening right as the bride walked down the aisle. Ryan and I were both in the wedding party so we were standing up there getting absolutely soaked. The wind came through so fast that all the flowers at the alter blew over and the pastor had to skip right to the vows. Fortunately, the weather could not stop them from getting married.
While the ceremony was going on, the catering company was trying to keep the tent from blowing away and trying to save all the food. Luckily, they reacted quickly because they were able to move all the food and cake inside before it was ruined.
The weather eventually subsided and everyone ended up having a great time. I admire Cameron and April for how well they handled the whole evening because I know how much time and effort went into planning the wedding. She was the most beautiful bride I have ever seen and I am so happy to have her as a sister. I was terrible this weekend and didn't take a single picture, I will post pictures of the wedding once I get some.

A Day at the Zoo
Riley and I spent the afternoon at the zoo with Tessa and her son Matt who is 14 months old. It was Riley and Matt's first time at the zoo and Matt seemed to really enjoy it, he especially loved the cows. Riley and I will have to go back to the zoo another time since he slept through the entire afternoon.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Moran!
We had a pretty eventful weekend in Spokane for Sarah and Dan's wedding. We left Friday morning and arrived in time for the rehearsal at St. Al's church on the Gonzaga campus. The church is incredibly beautiful!

My parents drove up Friday night and watched Riley for a couple of hours so Ryan and I could go out with the bridal party for a couple of hours (it turned out mom watched Riley and dad went with us, thanks mom!)
Since I was in the wedding, Riley hung out with Ryan all day while I was getting my hair and makeup done. Riley was quiet and slept through the whole ceremony. Everyone wanted to hold him at the reception and all the attention wore him out because he slept through pretty much the whole night even with the loud music and dancing.
Unfortunately, Ryan's first father's day was spent driving home from Spokane. We slept in too late to go to a nice breakfast and ended up just grabbing Starbucks. We stopped for a quick visit at Jeff and Hilary's house before heading home. Even though we didn't really get to celebrate, Riley and I are so lucky to have such a great daddy and husband!

5 Weeks
As of yesterday, Riley is 5 weeks old! I took him to the doctor this morning because I am a paranoid mom and he wasn't pooping as much as normal. The doctor said he looks great and he is perfectly healthy. She weighed him and he weighs 11 pounds 4 oz and has moved up into the 80th percentile (up from the 75th percentile at 2 weeks old). He is a little piggy so this didn't surprise me at all!
Yesterday was the first day that it hasn't rained in about a week so Riley and I took advantage of the clear weather and went for our first walk around Greenlake. I am kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I am a little sore today. I have a ways to go before I am back in pre-pregnancy shape!
All bundled up and ready for our walk

Drive-In
On Friday night we took Riley to his first drive in movie. We saw Sex in the City (which was not that great) but it was still nice to get out of the house and do something. The drive in theatre is in Auburn and you get to see 2 feature movies for $7.50 a person, but by the time Sex and the City was over it was already 12:30 so we didn't stay to watch Baby's Momma. Maybe next time we will be able to stay up for both movies.

In other news, Riley slept in his crib for the first time this weekend. I was a little nervous at first and thought it was a little to soon but he did great!

Happy Birthday to me!
Yesterday was my 25th birthday! Riley and I met Ryan for lunch at the Brooklyn downtown and then we met my parents and Mike and Melinda for dinner at Seastar in Bellevue. The dinner was fabulous and Ryan gave me an absolutely gorgeous diamond necklace and the sweetest card that said the necklace is a journey pendant which symobilized the road we have traveled as well as the road ahead and that he wanted this birthday to be special since it is the birthday I will associate with the birth or our son. I am so lucky to have such a romantic and loving husband!
Yesterday was also Riley's 4 week birthday, I can't believe he is already a month old! He has changed so much already and has so many different facial expressions. He is starting to smile more and more and every time it just melts my heart...
Here are a few random pictures from the last week or so.
